Traditonal mezzes are Arabic small plates that are typically for the most part vegetarian, here we have a roasted eggplant salad with pomegranate, baba ghanouj, hummus topped with lamb and pinenuts and grape leaves stuffed with tomatoes, peppers and rice, served with saj bread a traditional Arabic flatbread.
eggplant, tahini, garlic, parsley, yogurt, bell peppers, olive oil, pomegranate, scallions, mint, lemon juice, tomatoes, chickpeas, pinenuts, lamb, 7-spice, white onion, grape leaves, green pepper, pomegranate molasses, dried mint, allspice, short grain rice, vegetable stock, wheat flour, white flour
This would be a great vegetarian dish without the lamb. I loved it.
Great dish, Cef Taylor! Lamb was delicious! Fun to have so much variety!
