Jakarta style steamed rice cooked in coconut milk and aromatic herbs. Served with chili sauce, twice cooked egg (hard boiled & deep fried), and chicken poached in turmeric-based herb stock.

This was a very hearty and satisfying meal. It was not super spicy (which is perfect, IMO), yet very flavorful. It was almost more food than I could eat. A great comfort food option.

Great addition to the line up. Indonesia is a crossroads of different cultural cuisines and this expresses it well. Very delicious.

The flavors were delicious. Chicken was tender. I was a little confused with the egg, expected it to be spicy and it wasn't. All in all, enjoyed the dish. Make sure you cover the whole thing when reheating to avoid drying it out.

Delicious flavor, the chicken was moist and flavorful, the egg was fantastic. The only detractors - the rice really wasn't very coconutty, and after heating the pretty lettuce leaf under the chicken was a wilty soggy mess.

My chicken was all white meat, appeared to be all breast meat. This inevitably leads to dry, poorly flavored, chicken, especially when used for delivery. I would recommend using dark meat and not cook it to a dry state. Probably my most disappointing dish from Lish so far, though I was excited about it when ordering it.

Flavor was great, but microwaved for only 1.5mins (with moist paper towel on top) - and chicken was too dry :(.
