Dan was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He started his 17 years of cooking at his grandma's restaurant, the Manila Kitchen (John Wayne's favorite restaurant!) in Seattle's University District before going to Washington State University for his bachelors in Hospitality Management. After school, he worked in restaurants like Anthony's, Seatown and Etta's.
Dan has the most experience with seafood and loves using locally made ingredients from the Pacific Northwest. At home, he loves to garden and does most of his shopping at Farmer's Markets.
