The idea for Macrina Bakery & Cafe existed long before we opened our doors. The seed was planted while Leslie Mackie was in cooking school and continued to take root throughout her early restaurant career and during her travels.
An extremely moist, almost flourless fudge brownie dusted with powdered sugar. There are no nuts in our recipe.

Food was good but we missed having chicken, next time we'd have chicken phad thai too, with only one rice. The tofu with the basil was really mushy, the red curry tofu was a huge hit. Next time we'd do another tray of the red and one less of the tofu basil dish.

absolutely delicious. It melted in my mouth, and was so rich I had to get a pint of milk to have with it. I would definitely recommend it to any chocolate lover.

Great flavor, moist and soft. Oh so decadent - maybe too much so. It's good, but I think it's "too much" for me so I don't know that I'd order it again, personal preference.

How can flour less be so light and yet fudgy? Wonderful!
Would not repeat this meal. Chix well seasoned and moist, perfect amount but we freaked out and ordered more in the moment since it was less than typical and then had too much. The falafel and kibbeh was very dry, especially the falafel, hard and difficult to cut. The potato and fattoush salads were tasteless and bland. We had more dessert than was needed by double. Brownies needed to be cut in half.
Not chocolately enough- tastes more doughy than anything else. Would have preferred a more fudge-like texture
