Every once in awhile, you find that special dessert that brings you back... It's Grandma's classic Spice Cake with a little maple cream cheese twist!

Meh. The one I make by doctoring up a box cake is much much better. Thought homemade from scratch would be better. This was extremely bland! Not spice cake. Frosting also bland.
The cream cheese frosting was tasty, but this cake was waaaaaay too spicy. I ended up just sampling the icing and not eating the cake at all. :(
