Description

Traditional Vietnamese Bun Ga Nuong at its best! Lemongrass-marinated chicken, pickled daikon and carrot, cucumber, and a mix of fresh herbs are set upon a bed of fresh rice vermicelli noodles and chopped green leaf lettuce. Finishing this dish is a side of nuoc cham sauce, rich with savory and sour flavors.

Ingredients

lemongrass chicken (chicken thigh, gluten free soy sauce, lemongrass, brown sugar, lime juice, garlic, canola oil, black pepper), organic spring mix, pickled carrot and daikon (daikon, carrot, vinegar, sugar), cucumber, mint, cilantro, shiso, nuoc cham sauce (fish sauce, rice vinegar, Thai chili, garlic, brown sugar, lime), rice vermicelli (rice flour, water)

Waaaay too garlicky dressing, to the point I was embarrassed to be out in public after I ate this dish. An otherwise perfect vermicelli bowl. Plentiful rice noodles, delicious tender chicken perfectly seasoned, fresh crunchy cubes and greens. Cut back the garlic by about 2/3 please!!!

The chicken in my order did not taste or appear grilled at all, rather likely baked. Consequently it had little flavor. The meats in Bun bowls generally need some grilling to stand out.

Chicken was good, salad could have been fresher. Warning: noodles should not be served in ziplock bags. I avoid plastics at all cost and as so could not eat the noodles.
